Staten Island Ferry

I've been getting some grief for not posting more pictures from my New York trip. I'm not really sure why. I doubt people would spend that much time looking at them if I did. Plus, we all already know what New York looks like. I think it is more because sometimes people don't know what to talk to me about so they think two things: 1. She is into photos. and 2. She just went on a trip. So therefor they say "Hey, where are the photos from your trip? Why haven't you posted them?" The thing about me(well one of the things about me, there's not just one) is that sometimes when I'm on vacation I don't want to take photos. I take them all the time. It's what I do for a job. It's what I do when I'm bored. It's what I do when I'm sad. It's what I do when I'm happy. It's just what I do a lot. So yeah even though I love it, sometimes part of my vacation is not taking photographs. I don't like landscape photography all that much anyway. Even when I do take pictures I feel like they still tend to be more personal work then "hey look at this thing I saw at this place" kind of photos. It's nice to take a break from photography and just experience things and people and be more in the moment then the person looking for the moment so they can catch it. But despite all that, I did take some. Here is one from the Staten Island Ferry. Yup. The Statue of Liberty was right outside the boat and this is the photograph I took. We all already know what the statue looks like. I bet none of you knew what this lady looked like until now? Right?!?! Meh. I did take some other more standard stuff. You can see them on flickr if you want to. I still have more I need to edit through but I don't know when or if I'll get to that.
